Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Founders Lab LLC ("we") collects, uses, and protects data through ShopSignal.

Data we collect

When a seller connects a TikTok Shop, we receive only the data that seller authorizes through TikTok Shop: shop and product details, orders, returns and refunds, finance statements and payouts, and performance data. We also keep the seller's account email and settings.

How we use data

• To provide ShopSignal features to the seller who authorized the connection
• To generate summaries, reports, and suggestions for that seller
• To keep the service secure and fix problems

Buyer information inside orders is used only to complete the seller's own order, return, and reporting tasks. We never use it for marketing or profiling.

Sharing

We do not sell data. We share data only with service providers that run ShopSignal (Supabase for the database, Vercel for hosting, GitHub for code storage, and Anthropic for AI generated summaries, which does not use this data to train models), or when the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

When a seller disconnects ShopSignal, we revoke access right away and delete their data within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it. Sellers can request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. See our Information Security Policy.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below. We respond within 30 days.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the effective date.

Terms of Service

Agreement

By using ShopSignal you agree to these terms with Founders Lab LLC. If you use ShopSignal for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for that business.

Your TikTok Shop

You connect your shop through TikTok Shop's authorization process and can disconnect at any time. You remain responsible for your shop and for following TikTok Shop's policies.

Automated actions

Features that change your shop, such as creating promotions or responding to return requests, run only under rules you set. They require your approval by default. You are responsible for the rules you turn on.

Financial and tax information

Reports and exports are provided for your records. ShopSignal does not file taxes and does not give tax, legal, or financial advice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, access other sellers' data, or use ShopSignal in a way that breaks the law or TikTok Shop's terms.

Availability and liability

We work to keep ShopSignal running and accurate, but the service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Founders Lab LLC is not liable for indirect losses or lost profits.

Ending use

You can stop using ShopSignal at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

Information Security Policy

Summary of our full policy, version 1.1, effective October 11, 2026

• Unique named accounts and multi factor authentication on every system that holds seller data
• Least privilege access, reviewed quarterly and removed within 24 hours when no longer needed
• TLS 1.2 or higher in transit and AES 256 at rest; TikTok tokens encrypted and stored only on the server
• Every TikTok Shop API request signed and every webhook verified
• Private code repository, reviewed changes, and separate development and production environments
• Audit logs for every action that changes a seller's shop, kept for at least 12 months
• Daily encrypted backups kept for 30 days
• Incident response with prompt notice to TikTok Shop and affected sellers
